Big Noreaster Update - PA Hype
A Forecast Model [JessePedia] Update:
This morning's entry was written based on the overnight 6Z models. This morning's 12Z GFS shows heavy snow in eastern New York and northeast Pennsylvania, rather than New England, as a reaction to taking the Nor'easter straight off the mid-Atlantic shore and out to sea, instead of bouncing off of Cape Cod.
GFS 10:1 SNOW MAP [JessePedia]
The map above shows a big difference in snow accumulation than the 6Z prediction, but not as big of a difference compared to 00Z, though the bulk of the snow moves westward. The lowest pressure is also up from <970 to <978 with the 6Z update. Of course, we'll see many swings with this model during the next few days. But for now, Pennsylvania snow lovers have some hope!
