Baby, It's 24 Below Normal Outside
Rumors (and forecasts) of this being a harsh winter seem to be coming true, and it's still fall!
I woke up this morning and it was 1 F. 1 degree on December 13th, when our normal low temperature is supposed to be 25! This morning's record, believe it or not, was -5 in 1988, but tomorrow morning the record is zero, so we have a shot at actually breaking that one. (You can check your city's records on AccuWeather.com).
Now, we've been cold in December in recent memory, I was 7 degrees on December 9, 2002 and we dipped to -2 on December 20, 2004. The lowest I've ever seen here was -7 in January 2005.
