Atlanta Attacked by 2nd Supercell T-Storm!
UPDATE: 10 PM: Over 100 Tornado Warnings have been issued today... 30 tornadoes have been reported. Keep an eye on the inordinate amount of Tornado Warnings and reports tonight via the StormMatrix Stats Box:.
Over 60 Tornado Warnings have been issued today as of 5 PM. Supercell thunderstorms are sprawling through northern Georgia and South Carolina. The Atlanta airport observed a tornado at 4:44 PM as this coded observation shows: "KATL 152044Z 33017G46KT 1SM R09R/2400VP6000FT +TSRAGR BR SCT024CB BKN046 16/14 A2956 RMK TORNADO B09 8N MOV E TORNADO E13 AO2 PK WND 33046/2039 WSHFT 2020 TSB1958GRB44 FRQ LTGCGCCICCA N TS ALQDS MOV NE CB DS" It loosely translates to "Heavy Thunderstorm With Hail, Frequent Lightning All Quadrants, Tornado Observed 8 Miles North"
