Anniv. of 1st Weather Satellite Launch
Yesterday, April 1st, was the 47-year anniversary of the launch of the first weather satellite in 1960. "Tiros 1" was the first in a series of weather satellites that would revolutionize weather (especially hurricane) forecasting.
