Amazing High-Res Satellite of California Tule Fog
There have been some amazing examples of "Tule Fog" in the valley in California this week. Meteorologist Alex Rabb explains the phenomenon in this video:
And yes, she said "Tule Frog" in the middle, but we'll forgive her. I meant to send her this extra high-res satellite image of the fog on Wednesday. This extreme resolution was captured by MODIS, which takes an extremely-high-res photo of the U.S. once a day.
Here's a full-res detail showing the southern end of the fog and some clouds. Wow.
