AL High School Struck by Tornado
UPDATE: At 8 PM Eastern, this tornado report has just come in: "NUMEROUS REPORTS OF A TORNADO HAS CAUSED DAMAGE TO HOMES IN THE NORTH COLUMBUS AREA OF GEORGIA."
UPDATE: At 7:30 Eastern, another severe thunderstorm is on its way through the same county where the Enterprise tragedy took place. It has rotating winds and a possible hook echo, according to this image from AccuWeather.com RadarPlus. Fortunately, it is moving slightly to the northwest of the city.
18 people have lost their lives from the Enterprise, Alabama tornado according to on-air sources. More information, photos and video of the damage are available via the Dothan Eagle. ORIGINAL POST: A high school in Enterprise, Alabama was hit by a tornado and heavily damaged the buildings early this afternoon, according to Fox News on-air and other news sources. Injuries were reported at the high school and also downtown. This article says that the football stadium was destroyed. Seven tornadoes have been reported in Alabama this afternoon.
