I don't usually use this blog as a tool for promotional press releases, but this is very exciting and headquarters is abuzz with excitement. AccuWeather, who many of you have seen on your local television station forever, is now breaking into cable with a 24-hour all-weather digital channel that offers our in-house meteorologists on-air.

Here's the official promotional page from us, and here's a related news story from which I'll quote:

STATE COLLEGE -- It will be all AccuWeather, all the time in several TV markets across the country, as the company launches digital weather channels on ABC stations... including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Houston. They will offer on-air broadcasts by AccuWeather staff and forecast and radar information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. National, regional and local news also will be part of the coverage.
