A Rare Vancouver Tornado
A rare tornado (EF-1 on the FS) passed through the city of Vancouver, Washington Thursday afternoon (January 10th, 2008). The NWS has a track map. KOIN says"The last one to hit the area was in April 5, 1972, killing six people. Washington ranks 47th for frequency of tornado sightings... out of the 50 states."TornadoProject.com quotes 5 other tornadoes since 1972 in Clark county, but they were weak.
