A Frosty May Night
Believe it or not, significant frost will occur over the Great Lakes States tonight.
I can tell you from being outside this weekend, it is really unseasonably (or, unreasonably, as Elliot Abrams said Friday) cold out there. Wind chills today here in State College, PA, were in the low 40s. Tonight at Mount Washington, New Hampshire, it's snowing and 25 degrees (wind chill: 5).
Did you know? Wind disrupts air flow (duh), but this prevents frost by keeping the coldest temperatures from settling on the ground.
