7 Inches of Rain Floods Houston
Houston, Texas received up to 7 inches of rain from heavy thunderstorms yesterday. Widespread street flooding was reported.

The airport reported 5.60" of rain was reported at the Houston Intercontinental Airport.
Doppler estimates showed up to 6 inches of rain falling in the area (see image above courtesy) and up to 7.32" of rain fell at gauges maintained by the Harris County Office of Emergency Management (see snapshot image of 24-hour precipitation below).
