7 Feet of Snow, 130 MPH Winds Out West
UPDATE: The following incredible wind gusts have been observed out West for the past couple days:

Parts of the West have received some pretty incredible amounts of snow this week. Here's a list. That first amount from Heavenly Mountain Resort, CA is 84 inches which equals seven feet! They have some incredible photos on their website.

NOTES: **Estimated by SNOTEL; *72-hour amounts from OnTheSnow.com. The report of 84" from OnTheSnow.com for Heavenly Mountain disagrees with the report available on their website which says "59-80 inches in the last 7 days," so I'm not sure I believe that... however, but there are plenty of other reports in the 5-6 foot range. Either way, that's a lot of snow! (The 103 inches mentioned below in the AP Photo is a seasonal total for Crested Butte, Colorado).
