5 AM in December? Must Be Severe T-Storms!

Let's see, it's 5 AM in December... must be... severe weather? Some pretty good storms are cranking this morning over the Arklatex area. These storms have caused hail reports to 1 inch in diameter with winds estimated at 60 mph downing trees and injuring one person in Dennison, Texas, according to the StormMatrix.
In fact at 5:55 AM there were two tornado warnings, two severe thunderstorm warnings, two tornado watches, and a severe thunderstorm watch (in a pear tree).
A Slight Risk of severe storms is in effect today for the Louisiana area, so more reports could come in as these severe storms move east.
