42 Inches of Lake-Effect, Plus?

Over three and a half feet of snow has been reported in parts of New York and up to two feet of lake-effect could fall in favored areas tonight and tomorrow. News10 quotes the possibility of 5 feet accumulating in parts of New York state.

Here are the top amounts in New York and Michigan. It's entirely possible that high amounts, perhaps higher than these, have been observed in Ohio or Pennsylvania, or in areas of New York or Michigan where there aren't any snow spotters.
