3 Feet Of Snow In California
Doesn't sound right does it? But don't forget, they've got some big mountains out there, up to 14,491 feet. Not many people live near the mountain tops, but Donner Summit has been known to receive nearly 800 inches of snow per year, 52 inches per day and 15 and a half feet per storm.
Currently at the Norden, California Sierra Snow Lab Weather Station, they are reporting 72 inches of snow on the ground, down from a max of 174.6 this season.
