2 Feet of Rain in Florida!
Here's a quick morning update on the immense rainfall dropped in Florida; see yesterday's blog entry for reports on winds and waves. This map shows over 15 inches of rain in the last week, but some of the totals listed below are close to two feet in the last 4 days. We will be posting raw video of the flooding in the player at right later today; you can read about road and school closures on Google News.
Bunnell, FL: 23.75" (as of 5 pm yesterday - see location on radar map below)Palm Coast, FL: 17.8" Flagler Beach, FL: 14.98"
More rain is moving into the area now so these totals will increase today.
Here's our forecast for amounts as of this morning, unfortunately there will be a very narrow swath of land where they will get another 4-6 inches on top of that 2 feet.
