100 Foot Drifts, Other Cali Snow Photos
Photo Gallery user PaulTahoe has uploaded a couple of interesting photos from Sonora, California, which is currently buried under snow.
On Sunday, he took the last photo in this sequence:
He says: "It seems like the seasons are in reverse this winter for California. By May I think the sign will be gone..."
In regards to this other photo of snowdrifts snapped Sunday, he says "This was taken North of Highway 108 at Sonora Pass in California. Some of these drifts are over 100 feet deep!"
Not to be outdone, photographer The Flow took this picture on Monday:
He says "4-10-06 As you can see, the snow continues to fall. We are now approaching 800 inches of snowfall at the top of Kirkwood Resort for the 2005/2006 winter season. Today we are at 767 inches (nearly 64 feet) with a 325 inch (over 27 feet) settled base!"
