Weekly Long-Range Forecast Model Outlook

This is my latest interpretation of the ECMWF long-range forecast model into the second week of July.

There seems to be a higher-than-average amount of uncertainty with this particular run of the model.

--- Seasonal snow removal at Glacier National Park in Montana

I saw this picture from the park gallery showing the ongoing snow removal process in the higher elevations of Glacier National Park.

This is an annual road clearing event which takes months to finish in order to be ready for the peak tourist season. My family and I were fortunate enough to visit the park nearly 20 years ago during the summer and took one of the old-time red buses up into the Logan Pass area. Even though many of the glaciers in this park have vanished or are shrinking, the park is still a treasure.
