WYSIWYG Clouds: AccuCam vs. Visible Satellite
The AccuCam weather webcam was "what you see is what you get" yesterday when compared to the visible satellite image shot miles above Pennsylvania - normally clouds are not small enough, or are obscured by higher decks, so you can't directly compare the two images. Here's the visible satellite (click to animate) showing the position of the camera, looking northwest across the arrow - you can see the "streets" of clouds that you can see on the camera image.
Here's a closeup taken from a much larger MODIS visible image at a slightly different time:
These clouds were wrapping around a low pressure system to my northwest (not unlike the ones wrapping around a high pressure system in this cool NASA satellite picture). You can also see the "cloud streets" on the right-hand side of this clip from a panoramic shot I took with my camera:
