Temperatures Near 100 in Southeast!

It's a hot Sunday, folks! At 3 p.m. Milledgeville, Georgia had a RealFeel(tm) temperature of 113 degrees, followed by Way Cross with 107 and Ocala, Florida with 106.

The following stations were reporting temperatures of 97 degrees at 3 p.m.:

Ocala, FL
Fort Myers, FL
Sanford Airport, FL
Jacksonville, FL
The Villages, FL
Albany County Airport, GA
Way Cross, GA
Moultrie Municipal Airport, GA
Milledgeville, GA

The record high temperature for today in Albany, GA was 95 set in 2000. The record high in Fort Myers, FL is 98, set in 1953. Other stations were more than 1 degree away from their record high or no record data was available.

These may be the highs for the day; thunderstorms were breaking out in the area as of this writing.
