The following stations in the Southeast reported temperatures over 100 Monday afternoon...

The Southeast was not alone; all but one state was in the 90's again...
...and 24 states hit the century mark.
Generally, temperatures were not observed at or over 100 north of North Carolina. The exception was Newbold Island, NJ, and also Pennsylvania, a blog reader reports:
