Olga Dead, But Could She Move Into Gulf?
Former Tropical Storm Olga was declared dead by The NHC [JessePedia] last night: "1000 PM EST WED...OLGA DEGENERATING INTO A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WITH A FEW SQUALLS... THIS IS THE LAST PUBLIC ADVISORY ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER ON THIS SYSTEM UNLESS REGENERATION OCCURS." Only one model is being run on her remnants, so this ain't much of a "Model Spread" [JessePedia]:
This map begs to question: Could Olga's remnants move into the Gulf, regenerate and then hit Florida? Probably not. Most Forecast Models[JessePedia] that I looked at this morning showed her pressure center running into the Yucatan and dying. AccuWeather.com Professional's Joe Bastardi [BIO] (PRO) says "Olga alive and kicking but gets entrained this weekend." What he means by "entrained" is that her energy and/or moisture will be sucked into a frontal system or upper-level trough, killing chances of a tropical storm formation.
