O.T.: Black-Flagged on the Last Lap
"Rats! Black-Flagged on the Last Lap!"
That was something that Garfield the cat said frequently in his comic strip books that I would read when I was a kid. It expresses my frustration in being knocked out of service this week with a wrist injury, in the middle of the Bloggies judging.
I can still type with one hand of course, but it isn't very efficient.
Garfield has come back, if you haven't noticed, with a movie and DVD re-releases of his TV specials. My daughter is now in to him, reading the books, watching the DVDs. I guess a fat yellow cat is a timeless classic. Re-watching those 80's TV specials brings back memories of my childhood.
At right is a photo I took of our cat Petie on New Year's Day. He's not fat (hyper-thyroid problem, 2 pills a day) but he sure is lazy, and he's got those Garfield stripes.
Maybe this entire entry was brought on by the pain pills, but for now I'll close this entry and hope that the wrist pain goes away on its own. Thanks to all the well-wishers.
