June snow sets records in Rockies

An unusually heavy June snow blanketed higher elevations of Wyoming, Idaho and Montana yesterday. More information is available in our story 'Junuary' snowfall blankets high elevations across Idaho, Montana.

This map shows some of the specific reports from the NOAA SNOTEL network.
The NWS in Missoula tweeted that the amounts were new records for a couple of the SNOTEL stations.
