Beach Vacation 2015: Sharks and Tropical Storms
By the looks of these two maps, it's about time for my annual beach vacation week at Oak Island, North Carolina.
Not only has the island been host to multiple shark attacks this summer (with 10 of them in the Carolinas alone!), there's a good chance a tropical storm will develop offshore (like Hurricane Alex which almost disrupted my vacation in 2004).
Meanwhile, I'm staying out of the water. If I get photos of either, I'll let you know. Hopefully, there will at least be some thunderstorms, but according to the AccuWeather.com app, that's not looking too good:
