Another Deadly Mine Blast, Weather?
Another tragic mine blast killed five miners Friday night in Holmes Mill, Kentucky (CNN). The blast occurred around 1 a.m.
CNN did not speculate on a cause, but here is a 2-hour cloud-to-ground lightning strike map from AccuWeather.com. Like during the Sago Mine Explosion, lightning was passing through the area at the time.
