Another Beach Vacation, Another Sunday Storm

I had a decent thunderstorm at our beach house on Sunday (just like I did last year!). I was a little late getting my cameras out because I was not paying attention to the radar, but I got some good still shots.

The view from AccuWeather.com RadarPlus at 3:48 PM showed an approaching line of storms with lightning that looked like it would be just to my south over the water (I'm at the "X"), which would be perfect through observation via the large window in our living room.

I started snapping pictures of the gust front which had some crazy looking clouds with it. Here's one, you can see all the pics here (there are also two pics of an earlier storm that dissipated before it got to us).

Unfortunately the lightning stopped shortly thereafter and only one strike hit the water, which I missed both with my eyes and camera (it was off-frame from where the camera was pointing) though some of my relatives saw it hit the water a couple miles out.
