A Warm Thanksgiving Morning in the East
AUTHORS NOTES (2012): This was my third year blogging for AccuWeather. In addition to the weather events described in this blog, We had considerable snow in the West in 2007 and a swath of snow through the Midwest (see my blog entry from Nov. 20, 2007). There was also a surprise snow in Texas and tornadoes in Florida.

ORIGINAL BLOG: Much of the East is enjoying unusually warm conditions this Thanksgiving morning, and this is clearly apparent here in Central PA where it is in the mid-60's and sunny right now here in State College! That's 20 degrees above our normal HIGH temperature at 10 AM! Here's a quick look outside my door:
And here's a look at the temps and radar in our area, courtesy AccuWeather.com RadarPlus:

And in the Northeast Region...

More explicit maps plotting temperatures are available for PA & NE. Notice that the temperatures quickly drop off into the 30s and 40s as you move northwest... down to near zero in Canada. Some of that cooler air is on its way for all of us. The AccuWeather.com Planner predicts that we'll plummet all day and will be approaching the 20's this evening, with RF temperatures in the teens.
