2007 An Unusually Deadly Tornado Year
The number of fatalities from tornadoes thus far in 2007 has been considerably above normal. The number of tornadoes, not surprisingly, is also up so far this year. We've officially had 65 tornadoes, twice as many as the 3-year average of 38 (and that's through the end of February). The locations of the "killer tornadoes" are shown below.
