Atlantic tropics getting busier

Things have changed in the Atlantic as we have one storm brewing near Cabo Verde and a critter in the Caribbean to watch as it heads into the Gulf of Mexico over the next several days. The East Pacific remains active too.

A couple of storms will affect the South this week; both will cause heavy rain where it isn't needed.

Not much in the way of snow or ice across the South this week as warmth surges north ahead of approaching storms.

It will stay quiet across the South until midweek, then a new storm will push through and cause a soaking rain and locally gusty storms over much of the Southeast again.

A storm moving in later this week will cause heavy rain that can lead to flooding, especially in areas that had very heavy snow this past weekend.
