Moon and Mars tonight
Take a look this evening before midnight to see the moon near Mars.

The moon will be much much brighter than Mars. Mars is not nearly as bright as it was over the summer, but it is still clearly visible to the naked eye.
The moon will be near another notable feature in the night sky later this week.

The moon will continue to appear higher each night in the evening sky as it moves along it's path which is opposite the direction it appears to move as the Earth rotates. The moon will reach its full stage on March 20; it will be the last supermoon of 2019.

A few people have been out to catch the Milky Way before dawn. It is below the horizon most of the night which is always the case this time of year. The moon will not interfere with Milky Way viewing/photographing for the next few days until it becomes full. Thanks for reading! Just look up; you never know what you will see.
