<strong>
Morning update</strong>
Slight eastward trend with track will likely shift the heaviest snow out of southern Ontario. There still may be some enhancement of the snow in the St. Catharines area and along the western New York shore of Lake Ontario due to the northerly winds.
There will be a short period of sleet/ice later Friday morning and into the afternoon across southern/eastern Ontario but not enough to bring down trees/power lines but enough to cause very slippery roads and sidewalks as temperatures take a nosedive during the afternoon.
The worst icing looks to be from eastern New York state into parts of northern New England.
