Sloppy eastern storm and a long-range update
By Brett Anderson, AccuWeather senior meteorologist
Published Feb 5, 2020 4:01 PM EDT
A storm will spread snow and ice from southern Ontario to New Brunswick late this week. Significant accumulations are expected from southeastern Quebec through New Brunswick late this week as the storm rapidly strengthens east of New England. There may also be a period of freezing rain over parts of southern Ontario early Thursday and across southern New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Thursday night.
Cold air will likely dominate across the western half of the country over the next couple of weeks with modified cold shots coming into the East. There should be a break in the stormy pattern across southern BC with a more northwesterly steering flow. Florida is looking like a good place to enjoy some pleasant weather over the next few weeks.
