A rapidly strengthening storm will bring snow and near-blizzard conditions to southeastern Massachusetts, while the Boston area will be on the northwestern flank of snow. Currently, any snow totals nearing 4 inches will be most likely across the Cape and Islands, while Vermont and central Massachusetts are expected to remain dry. Only a small amount of snow is foreseen in Boston. Strong winds near the coast, combined with high astronomical tides, will lead to moderate coastal flooding.
