...Gusty winds this afternoon... West to southwest winds will gust as high as 35 mph the remainder of this afternoon, with localized gusts to 40 mph possible in more exposed locations such as ridgetops. This may be strong enough to cause difficulties with some outdoor travel, especially where cross winds occur. Winds will gradually diminish with the loss of daytime heating and mixing late this afternoon into the evening.
