More than a dozen tornadoes confirmed from Hurricane Isaias
The NWS has confirmed 17 tornadoes were spawned from Hurricane Isaias, with six found to have EF2 damage.
Multiple businesses were left damaged in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on Oct. 11 after a tornado swept through the area, causing downed trees and power lines and damaging vehicles.
Hurricane Isaias, which made landfall in the Florida Panhandle Friday night, also caused dozens of tornado reports from Georgia into the Carolinas last weekend.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has been surveying the damage from the tornado reports and, as of Tuesday night, had confirmed 17 tornadoes. Six of those were powerful EF2 tornadoes.
At Bonnie Doone, North Carolina, on the northwestern side of Fayetteville, an EF2 tornado removed several HVAC units from the roof of a strip mall, then tore away another 10 units from a nearby Walmart. It went on to collapse light poles, damage roofs and roll several cars over in the parking lot of the Sam's Club.

In Duplin County, North Carolina, near the town of Wallace, an EF2 tornado with winds of 115 mph lifted a two-car garage off its foundation. Near Beulaville, the same tornado lofted debris 13,000 feet in the air and removed an attached garage from its house, moving a pickup truck, the NWS report said.

Although no one was injured or killed by the tornadoes, as many as eight people were killed by Hurricane Isaias.
The NWS says storm surveys will continue this week, using people and drones to help determine wind direction and strength, which will add more tornadoes to the list.
