Official SEVERE WEATHER WARNING of BLACK ICE There is a high risk of black ice due to freezing rain and ice accretion (level 3 of 4). Danger to life and limb due to: sudden freezing rain. Recommendations for what to do: Avoid staying outdoors and travelling - adapt your behaviour in road traffic. Be prepared for widespread disruptions to transport routes, including road closures - if necessary, adapt driving to the conditions; fill up fuel tank if possible and take blankets and warm drinks with you.
