Risk of freezing rain Thursday.
Freezing rain may affect Eastern Ontario including the Ottawa Valley Thursday as a low pressure system developing over the Southern Plains moves toward the area.
Precipitation will begin as snow Wednesday night, then mix with or change to ice pellets overnight. There is the risk of freezing rain Thursday. Snow and ice pellets amounts of 5 to 10 centimetres are forecast.
The threat of freezing rain will come to an end later Thursday as temperatures edge just above the zero degree mark.
Untreated surfaces may become icy and slippery. Travel may be affected.
