    Wyandotte County in northeastern Kansas...
    Johnson County in east central Kansas...
    Jackson County in west central Missouri...

    * Until 615 AM CDT Sunday

    * At 919 PM CDT, local law enforcement and broadcast media reported
    heavy rain causing urban and small stream flooding within the
    Kansas City metro area. Up to two and a half inches of rain have
    already fallen.

    * Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Kansas City, Overland Park, Olathe, Independence, Lee's Summit,
    Shawnee, Blue Springs, Lenexa, Leawood, Raytown, Grandview, Prairie
    Village, Gardner, Grain Valley, Merriam, Mission, Oak Grove, Bonner
    Springs, De Soto and Parkville.


    Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
    dangers of flooding.

    Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
    creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
    well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

    Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
    can do so safely.

    A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
    of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
