Heavy rainfall is forecast overnight tonight and throughout tomorrow, Monday 01/12/2025. River levels are expected to remain high into Tuesday 02/12/2025. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Willington, Barrow upon Trent, Swarkestone, Bargate Lane and the access roads to Willington Meadows, the Twyford Village access road, Church Lane at Barrow, and Ingleby Lane. River levels at Willington Gauge and Shardlow Gauge will remain high until 02/12/2025. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 9:00AM on 01 December 2025, or as the situation changes.
