Locations: Pictou and Antigonish counties and Cape Breton. Total snowfall: potentially 10 to 20 cm in snow squalls. Maximum wind gusts: northwesterly 70 km/h. Time span: tonight. Remarks: Conditions are favourable for the development of snow squalls over the Gulf of St. Lawrence tonight. The potential for highest snowfall amounts is expected to be over the Cape Breton Highlands. ### Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Snow squall watches are issued when localized, intense snowfall causing rapid accumulation and/or reduced visibility is possible.
