rainfall warning in effect Heavy rainfall event beginning tonight. Thunderstorms will develop this evening in southern Alberta. These thunderstorms will then combine to form an area of rain that will persist through Monday. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 80 mm is expected. ### Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
