Cool and dry early week, Willa brings rain later
Most of the South will remain cool and dry for most of the week with rain confined to South and West Texas. Even Florida is getting modest relief. The main story this week will be how the East Pacific storm Willa brings another round of rain to Texas and then gets caught up in a storm system that will form in the Gulf of Mexico later this week; it will then likely track near the East Coast next weekend. The infusion of tropical moisture will lead to much of the Southeast getting a cold, soaking rain later in the week into next weekend. It won't be cold enough for snow, though, at least not across the South. More chilly air comes in behind the storm, but it looks as though we'll have a warmer spell next week.
