Cold Early Week, Then Warming Up For Good

I am @AccuFrank on Twitter, which is the most reliable way to get alerted when I post new stuff. There's also this Facebook fan page thingie, which is not particularly reliable for that but it's good for posting little things where 140 characters won't do them justice.

Lunch at the Beacon Drive-In in Spartanburg, SC is currently planned for Wednesday, but some chance I'll do it instead, see Twitter or Facebook for possible updates and for the exact time. I can't blog from the road but I can tweet.

One man's trash is another's treasure: the much cooler than usual air over the southeast over the next few days means a spell of spectacular weather along the Gulf Coast and into Florida with low humidity and cooler than usual temperatures. Enjoy it while it lasts, it may be your last respite from heat and humidity until October.

I didn't mention the long range GFS in the video and whether or not it still shows a tropical cyclone of some sort over the western Caribbean, but it's not showing that today. That does not mean it won't happen. Of course, just because it was showing yesterday didn't mean that it will! What it means is that the weather pattern looks to become favorable for a storm to develop in the western Caribbean around June 1 give or take (probably giving) a few days and the model is at times seeing how that might occur. Stay tuned for updates, fortunately I'll be back in plenty of time to deal with it if it does happen.
