10 Best Songs for Fall Running
Fall is my favorite season for running, and not just because of the ready access to pumpkin beer. I love the feeling of change in the air as the weather starts to cool, the leaves turn brilliant colors, and race calendars grow increasingly hectic.
It’s a time for hoodies and hearty meals; bonfires, scary movies, and corn mazes. It’s a time for introspection, melancholy, and long runs fueled by the terror of impending back-to-back marathons. And in the best-case scenario, it’s a time for reaping the sweet rewards of a July and August spent training in 100% humidity. Summer was nice, but a few race-pace runs in 50-degree weather should be enough to put those Fourth of July memories behind you.

So savor the season like it’s a rich Oktoberfest ale because as they say in Westeros, “Winter is eventually coming.” (They actually leave out the word “eventually” to be more ominous, but fall hasn’t technically started yet, so an "eventually" makes more sense here.)
