The 360fly 4K 360 camera has arrived!
I'm pleased to announce that the 4K version of the 360fly camera has arrived! These cameras, which capture a real-time 360-degree view of your surroundings, now support 4K resolution. Even better news: Because of this new model, the original 360 HD that I reviewed in May is now $100 off! Here are some sample videos from the unit:

One of the neat things about the new version of the 360fly 4K is the time-lapse function. Finally, without trying to manipulate the raw files (see my previous blog) you can simply set your camera to do a time-lapse. This is what AccuWeather Storm Chaser Brandon Sullivan did during the (multiple-twister) Dodge City tornado event in May.
Next up, here's a video taken with the 360fly from AccuWeather Storm Chaser and Extreme Meteorologist Reed Timmer in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on July 25. Pan and zoom around, it's fun. Around 4:50, there's a possible funnel cloud in the middle of the screen.
If you watch this in Google Cardboard or another Virtual Reality (VR) viewer, you'd swear you're standing on top of his car!
You can also stream live in 360from this camera, through the Livit app! Look me up @jesseferrell to see an example of a live stream test from AccuWeather HQ (if you don't have Livit, here's a 4K 360 video of AccuWeather HQ on YouTube - yes, that's me in the Hawaiian shirt at the end).
Here's what you get in the box:

I figured the best way to review a 360 camera is... on a 360 camera in my car, which is a really neat view!
