Severe Weather Focus in the South
This shouldn't be big news since we are in the severe weather season now, but after last week's deadly outbreak, it's worth mentioning. Severe weather will start in southeast Texas today and eventually move eastward during the next few days.

If you look at the GFS model's CAPE readings on our (from our Pro site), most of the high readings are in the Gulf, with the exception of Monday evening, when there are decent readings in spots in southeast Texas and Louisiana:
The NAM model favors the maximum CAPE solution further westward and one day earlier:
