Photos - Flooding, Moon, Alligator

AccuWeather.com Photo Gallery member Karen Wunschel has uploaded a number of stunning photographs today depicting the flooding this week in Millbury, Massachusetts (map).

In other Photo Gallery news, wb6ypf took this killer closeup shot of the moon. Hooking up a camera to a telescope is probably easier now then back in the 1980's when my dad used to do it, but you still have to have respect for people who have the patience to do this.

AnthonyS is a newcomer to the site and he uploaded 6 photos, half of which show winter scenes and the other half which show Gulf sunsets.

Yours truly uploaded a few photos, including some showing what little fall color that we have here in central Pennsylvania. After 8 days of clouds and rain, I was running around with the camera like it was a photography contest yesterday. I even uploaded a graph from my weather station which proved it was in fact cloudy for 8 days (geek!)

And last but not least, weather or not makes us grin by sharing this photo of an alligator that he encountered in August at a barbecue in Mississippi. The photographer says: "This Uninvited guest appeared at a barbecue in The Pearl River Basin. I am getting ready to send him home without dinner. Never feed these guys!"

Good advice. Living in the South is just scary stuff :) but I miss it.
