Harvey could bring Texas extreme rain to rival Allison 2001
(Soon-to-be) Tropical Storm Harvey may bring over 20 inches of rain to the Houston, Texas, area late this week (and 8 inches in much of coastal Texas and Louisiana), causing massive flooding;

This brings back memories of one of the earliest news stories that I wrote on AccuWeather.com: Tropical Storm Allison of 2001. For the 15th anniversary last year, I detailed that storm on my blog. One location received 29 inches of rain in less than 12 hours!
