AccuChase 09: Day 1 Oklahoma Supercells

Here's the latest update from AccuChaser Shawn Smith. His best video is shown below, for all videos see the right hand side of my blog or our Storm Chase Video Player.

Day 1: Shawn arrived in the Plains on Sunday and met up with the VORTEX2 project on Memorial day, chasing two supercell storms in western Oklahoma and even caught site of Discovery Channel’s “TIV” vehicle. He plans to chase in Texas today and Wednesday.

    Between May 23rd and June 5th 2009, AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Shawn Smith will be storm chasing in the Plains with the Oswego University Storm Forecasting and Observation Program, to assist the NOAA VORTEX2 project with Oswego's mobile radiosonde unit.
