AccuCam Almost Ready

If you've been reading my blog for a while you know I'm trying to get the weather here at AccuWeather HQ out to the masses. This started last month when I installed an electronic weather station (see middle of this page). Next up is a webcam.

The AccuCam was finally installed this morning by I.T. guy Brian. It is currently housed in Meteorologist Ken Reeves' office. Below is the first photo taken from the camera this morning.

It is an Axis 2100 Network Camera.

The current placement is a bit precarious so I am going to stop by Lowes Hardware / Wal-Mart on the way home and see if I can find something whereby we can rig it next to the window, without glare, and point it upwards to get the sky / clouds. Also, we need to do some contrast/brightness color correction and we'll work on that. I'll let you know when it's fully online.
